After Treat Williams' Sudden Passing, Catherine Zeta-Jones and John Travolta Share Heartfelt Tributes

Treat Williams' tragic death following a devastating motorcycle accident has prompted an outpouring of condolences from celebrities across social media.

On Monday, June 13, his agent Barry McPherson confirmed that the 71-year-old actor had passed away due to the incident.

John Travolta was among the first to honor the late actor, recalling their shared Broadway experiences in "Grease" and "Over Here." 

He wrote, “Treat Williams and I began our careers together in NYC with 'Grease' and 'Over Here.' Treat, I’m so sorry. Thinking of you and your family. We will miss you. Love, John.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who starred with Williams in the 1996 film "The Phantom," shared a still from the movie with a simple caption, “R.I.P. Dearest Treat Williams.”

Kim Cattrall, who worked with Williams on the 1999 TV movie "36 Hours to Die," tweeted, “I’m in shock! Goodbye, dear Treat. Pam, Gille, Ellie, and the family have my condolences. A great friend and actor.”

Sharon Stone posted a screenshot of a news article about Williams' passing, writing, “Sad news, rest in peace, brother.”

Mark Hamill, who appeared with Williams in "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980), shared a set photo and said, “Just received the terrible news that the world has lost @Rtreatwilliams. Such a great person, such a talented actor, and such a beloved friend. I’m crushed. #RIP_Pal.”

Emily VanCamp, who co-starred with Williams in "Everwood," posted a photo of him from his youth, stating, “The many times we worked together were always incredible, and I was always excited for the next. Sending all my love to your family, Treat. Rest well, my friend.”

James Woods reminisced about their time filming "Once Upon a Time in America" (1984), saying, “A long shoot can make you feel very lonely on the road, but Treat’s enduring good humor and sense of fun were a godsend. He was someone I truly enjoyed, and I’m heartbroken by his passing. #TreatWilliams, R.I.P.”

Billy Baldwin wrote a heartfelt tribute, praising Williams as intelligent, talented, funny, charming, and compassionate. “A golden heart,” Baldwin noted. “A terrible loss. He was a dedicated advocate for social justice and climate change. We will miss you, Treat. Rest in peace.”
