Former President George W. Bush recently made headlines for bouncing the ceremonial first pitch at the World Series opener. His daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, explained the situation, revealing that her father had undergone back surgery earlier in the year.
She commented, "It didn’t go straight; it curved. He had just had back surgery, so unfortunately, he probably hurt himself."
A spokesperson for President Bush confirmed the back surgery, stating, "President Bush isn’t one to make excuses, but it’s true — he did have fusion surgery on his lower back earlier this year." Despite the procedure, he is recovering well.
