The Mountain's 'Tiny' Wife Addresses the Question Everyone's Asking

The Mountain and his "tiny" wife recently participated in a Q&A session, addressing a common question from their fans.

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, better known as Thor from Game of Thrones, is an imposing figure at 6 feet 9 inches tall. In contrast, his wife, Kelsey Henson, stands at 5 feet 2 inches.

The couple, who began their relationship in 2017 and married in October 2018, have been the subject of curiosity due to their height difference. Thor once shared a touching wedding photo of himself holding Kelsey, expressing his excitement for their future together: “I get to hold this beautiful woman through thick and thin for the rest of our lives! I’m so excited for all of the future adventures we will tackle side by side.”

Fans often wonder how they manage affectionate gestures given their height disparity. During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked Kelsey, “How do you kiss? Do you jump into his arms every time and wrap your legs around his waist? Please post a picture of this impressive action.” Kelsey humorously responded, “Ah, he bends, I tiptoe. Or just say screw it, pick me up!”

Their journey hasn’t been without sorrow. In November 2023, the couple suffered the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Grace, who was stillborn at 21 1/2 weeks. Thor shared the tragic news on Instagram, expressing their profound grief and enduring love: “Words cannot describe our pain or our happiness at having spent time with our daughter. She was absolutely beautiful, with blonde lashes and brows and a little smile for mom and dad. The love we feel for her is overwhelming. The grief will stay with us forever, but so will the love.”

Grace was the couple’s second child; they also have a three-year-old son, Stormur. Thor has an older daughter, Theresa Líf, from a previous relationship.

In 2022, Thor faced Eddie Hall, former world’s strongest man, in a highly anticipated boxing match. Despite predictions of a dramatic finish, the bout went the full six rounds, with Björnsson winning by unanimous decision, securing a 57-54 victory on points.
