A Neurologist with Dual Board Certification Suggests Joe Biden May Be Showing Signs of Vascular Dementia

A double board-certified neurologist has dismissed media reports suggesting that President Joe Biden may have Parkinson’s disease but raised concerns that the president could be experiencing “vascular dementia.” The neurologist, Dr. Russell Surasky, recommended that Biden undergo neurological testing and an MRI to rule out this condition.

Dr. Surasky believes Biden’s medical history might be contributing to his cognitive health issues. After reviewing Biden’s public appearances and symptoms, he concluded that Parkinson’s disease is unlikely, noting that the president doesn’t exhibit typical signs such as a shuffling gait, unilateral resting tremor, or rigidity. In an interview, Dr. Surasky emphasized that Biden’s personal physician had already ruled out Parkinson’s following his most recent medical check-up in February.

However, the neurologist remains concerned about the possibility of vascular dementia, citing Biden’s history of atrial fibrillation—an irregular heartbeat that can reduce blood flow to the brain—and two past brain aneurysms, which involve the rupture of blood vessels in the brain. Dr. Surasky called for Biden to undergo a thorough neurological evaluation, which would include an MRI and several hours of cognitive and motor function testing, to definitively rule out or diagnose vascular dementia.

Concerns over Biden’s cognitive health have grown, with some speculating about a potential decline. Dr. Surasky urged transparency from the president’s team and suggested that this condition should be taken seriously, though it remains unconfirmed without further medical assessment.
